Women's Day in Africa: Obstetric fistula patients celebrate their transformative surgery - swissinfo

Each year, tens of thousands of women in the developing world suffer from an injury called obstetric fistula, experienced during labour. Its victims are left incontinent and become social outcasts. swissinfo visited a hospital ship docked in Monrovia, Liberia, which is tackling the problem. The charity Mercy Ships International was founded in Switzerland 30 years ago. (swissinfo, Justin Häne and Raffaella Rossello)
