Sociologist Manuel Eisner is renowned for his research into the prevention of violence. He is associate professor at Zurich University and also teaches social criminology at Cambridge University in England. His biggest research project so far is the 'Zurich Project on Social Development', which involves observing 1,300 primary school students over a period of ten years. He wants to find out what influences young people to turn to violence, rather than resolving conflicts peacefully.
