André Reithebuch, a 22-year old carpenter from canton Glarus, was voted Switzerland's most handsome man in the final competition in Ticino over the weekend. But there was little time to celebrate. André swung into action straight away.

Bear proof bins keep bears away from residential areas. - swissinfo

After centuries of being hunted to the verge of extinction, the brown bear has made a comeback in Switzerland, only to be shot down for coming too close to human settlements. The environmental organisation WWF has now come up with a way of improving rubbish management in canton Graubünden, where bears now roam, in an effort to protect both the animals and local residents.
